We would love to officially welcome on board our patron Martin Hudson!
Martin was the main man responsible for the creation of the original Classic Rock Appreciation Society all the way back in 1991; this society quickly evolved to the Classic Rock Society after it was pointed out that the acronym for it’s original incarnation was CRaS.

By Martin Hudson
Martin saw the CRS through many years, often announcing the bands onto the stage with his trademark phrase “Glasses on the floor, please, and put your hands together for…”
His book Rotherham Rocked is essential reading for anyone who has an interest in Prog as he runs through the early years of the Classic Rock Society with an insight into what happened back when Rotherham was the centre of the Prog Rock world.
Great news that Martin is on board
