Prog rock veterans Focus will finally head out on tour that celebrates the bands fiftieth anniversary. The tour was originally supposed to have occurred in 2020, but was inevitable delayed by the Covid pandemic. 2021 brought the 50th anniversary of Moving Waves, the band’s second album, as well as the deluxe boxset Focus50 featuring Blu-ray and CD of the Live In Rio concert as well as a studio rerecord of all the Focus numbers. Now they are able to head out on tour again, and a substantial one it will be. Besides dates in Europe, Focus will play an extensive number of dates in the UK.
The current line-up of the band is: The band, consisting of Thijs van Leer (Hammond organ, flute and vocals), Pierre van der Linden (drums), Menno Gootjes (guitar), and Udo Pannekeet (bass) and they aim to play pieces from across the band’s history.
